Nigerian rapper Falzthebadguy has once again taken on the Nigerian government and politics in his latest collaboration with rapper Vectorthaviper, titled “Yakubu.”
The track is a scathing critique of the incompetence of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, and other figures in Nigerian society.
In the track, Falzthebadguy calls out Mr Yakubu, who is responsible for overseeing Nigeria’s electoral process, for his poor performance in conducting free and fair elections. He also takes aim at the Chief Justice of Nigeria, who he accuses of hiding in the UK for a private meeting, rather than addressing pressing issues in Nigeria.
Other figures that Falzthebadguy targets in the track include the Nigerian Police, who he claims are asleep on the job, and Agbero with a cutlass, MC Oluomo, a notorious Nigerian thug who is often associated with violence and intimidation.
Falzthebadguy has a history of speaking out against corruption and injustice in Nigeria through his music, and “Yakubu” is no exception. The track is a powerful example of the role that music can play in holding those in power accountable for their actions.

MY OPINION:
In a country where the media is often controlled by the government, musicians like Falzthebadguy are a vital source of information and dissent. Through his music, he has become a voice for the voiceless, speaking truth to power and shining a light on the issues that are often ignored by those in authority.
“Yakubu” is now available on all digital platforms, and it is sure to spark conversations about the state of Nigeria’s democracy and the need for change. With his latest track, Falzthebadguy has once again demonstrated the power of music to inspire change and hold those in power accountable
